The State Academy for Crisis Management (CMSA) ( Armenian Ճգնաժամային Կառավարման Պետական ​​Ակադեմիա ; English Crisis Management State Academy ) is a state university for crisis management founded in 1992 in Yerevan , the capital of Armenia , and is subordinate to the Armenian Ministry of Disaster Management.

history

The university was founded by decree of January 31, 1992 initially as a staff retraining institute. In 1999 it was renamed the Institute for Crisis Management and reorganized in 2003. Between 1995 and 1996 international training cooperations took place with rescue services from Italy, Germany and Sweden. A long-term joint training took place between 1997 and 2005 with the French National Institute for Defense of the French Ministry of the Interior. As of 2019, the academy has cooperations with ten international universities and organizations.
