State medal for special services to the Bavarian economy

The State Medal for special services to the Bavarian economy has been awarded since 1974 to people who have made special contributions to the Bavarian economy. A maximum of 25 people are awarded each year.

The state medal bears the large Bavarian state coat of arms with the inscription " Bavarian State Ministry for Economics and Transport " on the front, and the inscription "For special services to the Bavarian economy" on the reverse. It has a diameter of 50 mm and is made of gold-plated fine silver.

The state medal for special services to the Bavarian economy is not a medal or badge of honor within the meaning of Art. 118 Paragraph 5 of the Constitution of the Free State of Bavaria and is not intended to be worn in public.
