City school caretaker

Stadtschulpflegschaft is the name commonly used in North Rhine-Westphalia for parent representatives on a local level. It can also be organized as a community or district school nurse. In each case, it is a question of forms of supra- school parent participation - i.e. in particular the representation of parents' concerns vis-à-vis the municipal school authority - in which the parent representatives of the individual schools (school care teams ) work together on a local or regional level.

In the Education Act for North Rhine-Westphalia a special legal basis has been created for this cooperation (§ 72 para. 4). There are no further regulations.
