Forklift control system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A truck control system ( SLS ) is a logistics system, the use of material handling equipment , in particular fork-lift trucks controls.

The task of the system is to optimize the order processing sequence and the routes of the industrial trucks. A forklift control system includes a central control unit and mobile terminals for the vehicles that are usually connected by radio. The SLS can be part of a warehouse management system or an independent system connected to it.

One optimization approach is to prevent unproductive empty and search trips. This can be done, for example, by a suitable combination of storage and retrieval processes. Using a suitable forklift control system can significantly increase the efficiency of the floor conveyor equipment.
