Steam Link is a hardware device that allows streaming from a computer or Steam Machine to the television. It supports the Steam Controller in this. The device was released in November 2015 almost at the same time as the Steam machine from Steam or Valve .

Supported input devices

The Steam Link supports the following controllers and input devices:

  • Steam controller
  • Xbox One Controller (Wired)
  • Xbox 360 Controller (Wired)
  • Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows
  • Ps4 controller
  • Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710
  • keyboard and mouse

Minimum requirements

  • TV or display device with a minimum resolution of 720p or 1080p
  • Any of the input devices as described above
  • Computer with SteamOS or Steam Big Picture mode on Windows Vista or newer, Mac OS X 10.10 or newer, Ubuntu Linux 12.04 or newer
  • Home network for Steam Link and main system
