Stefania Giannini
Stefania Giannini (born November 18, 1960 in Lucca ) is an Italian university professor and politician .
Giannini taught linguistics at the University of Perugia for foreigners , where she was rector from 2004 to 2013. After the parliamentary elections in 2013, she moved into the Italian Senate for Mario Monti's citizens' list Scelta Civica . On February 22, 2014, she was appointed Minister of Education and Research in the Renzi cabinet.
