The stone mosque

The stone mosque ( Russian каменная мечеть ) is the oldest mosque in the city of Semei in Kazakhstan . It dates from the first half of the 19th century and was designed by Gabdulloj Effendi, an architect from Istanbul .

The single and round minaret is finished with a conical roof. The prayer room has 16 windows and is closed by a domed roof. The site is surrounded by a forged fence.

The church was renovated a few years ago.
