Job equivalence

Job equivalence is a term from ecology . It occurs when two types of organisms in different - geographically separated - ecosystems occupy the same ecological niche without being related to each other . One then speaks of equivalent ecological niches. The organism species concerned can then show convergence , i.e. That is, they have a more or less strong structural, physiological or behavioral similarity, although they have developed independently of one another.
