Student initiative

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A student initiative (also known as a student initiative ) is a non-legally binding form of organization with often a student background among its members. This is why the term student initiative is also used.

It is therefore a category to which, among other things, registered associations and university groups can be added. Student initiatives are often shaped by the voluntary commitment of their members.

There is a legal demarcation to "composed student bodies". Nevertheless, as an "organizational type" they have structural similarities in terms of group structure and, above all, the voluntary situation between the academic world of the university and the students' entry into the profession.

Student initiatives are characterized by the following:

  • regular, regular meetings
  • openly accessible memberships
  • mostly organized as a registered association (eV) or "university group"
  • the members have a common purpose
  • the members work on a project basis to fulfill a group purpose
  • the initiative is mainly organized, structured and managed by students.

They often fulfill social tasks, such as the integration of refugees, the discussion of social issues from politics and economics or the improvement of educational opportunities.
