Stunt Pogo , Extreme Pogo or sometimes Xpogo (because of the website of the same name) is a fun sport in which you perform tricks on a pogo stick . Stunt pogo is often compared to other extreme sports such as B. BMX and skateboarding from which some tricks were taken.

The sport originated in America in the mid-90s, although pogo sticks have been around since the 20s. Two representatives of this sport, Dave Armstrong and Nick McClintock, already represented the sport at the X-Games . In Germany, stunt pogo is not yet very widespread. At the moment there is only an active scene in the USA , Canada and Great Britain . Occasionally, however, stunt pogo is practiced all over the world.

Most athletes use pogo sticks, which were specially made for sports, as normal sticks, which were primarily made for children or are intended to be used as fitness equipment, hardly reach a suitable jump height and break easily. These so-called "extreme" pogo sticks do not generate bounce with a steel spring as usual, but with an internal elastomer mixture or air suspension.
