Subperitoneal space

The subperitoneal space or subperitoneal space is one of five spaces of the small pelvis , below (Lat. Sub = under) the peritoneum . This spreads between the parietal peritoneum and the superior pelvic diaphragm fascia . This is where the following are stored in connective tissue: urinary bladder , rectum and possibly uterus .
