Suruga Trench

The Suruga Trench ( Japanese 駿 河 ト ラ フ , Suruga-torafu ) is located off the coast of Suruga Bay in Japan . The trench is the continuation of the Nankai trench . The trench was created by subduing the heavier Philippine Lake District under the Amur Plateau .
