Sven Hübscher (born January 26, 1979 in Dortmund ) is a German soccer coach who was last head coach of Prussia Münster .

Life

Hübscher graduated from high school in 1998. Because of a cartilage damage , he had to end his playing career early. The administrative specialist entered the coaching business and completed internships in England at Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC .

He began his coaching career in July 1999 as a U15 coach, assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at DSC Wanne-Eickel . In July 2000 Hübscher moved to FC Schalke 04 , where he initially worked as an assistant coach for the U13. From July 2001 to June 2007 he was the head coach of the U12 and U13 teams. In July 2007, Sven Hübscher became assistant coach of the U19s at Schalke, and he was also the coach in charge of the U18 training. In March 2008 he became full-time deputy training manager for the miners . In July 2009, Hübscher was promoted to assistant coach for the U23 team. He was also a junior sports manager between July and December 2009, and in October 2009 he also became a team manager for the U23. In June 2012, Hübscher became head coach of the U16s, and from January 2013 to July 2016 he was also assistant coach of the professional team under Jens Keller , Roberto Di Matteo and André Breitenreiter .

In July 2017 he moved to SV Werder Bremen , where he initially coached the U17s before becoming the successor to the exempted U23 head coach Oliver Zapel on February 5, 2018 . Under Hübscher, the team relegated from the 3rd division to the Regionalliga Nord two months later .

For the 2019/20 season he took over the SC Preußen Münster as head coach. After thirteen games without a win in a row, Huebscher was released after the 17th matchday in the table penultimate.
