Sven Schmid (born January 27, 1969 ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who played as a defender .

Career

Sven Schmid began his career as an ice hockey player at EHC Biel , for which he was active in the National League A from 1986 to 1989 . He then moved to SC Lyss from the National League B for two seasons before returning to EHC Biel, with whom he was relegated to the NLB in the 1994/95 season. There he played until the end of his career following the 2001/02 season for EHC Biel.
