Vortex spray

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In adhesive technology, vortex spraying or swirl application refers to an application or coating process in which different application widths can be implemented using a pneumatic or electronic ( E-Swirl ) application that is extremely material-saving and continuously adjustable . For this purpose, the distance between the component to be joined and the applicator (the application nozzle) is increased accordingly (larger application width) or reduced (smaller application width).

Depending on the application amount and application speed, the sprayed application can be perceived as a flat jet or as a series of circles.

Areas of application

Automobile manufacturing

shell

In the building shell, vortex spraying is used in the following areas:

  • Bead edge gluing
  • Structural bonding
  • Stiffen

Paint area

In the paint sector, vortex spraying is used in the following areas:

  • Seam sealing (E-Swirl)
  • Application SDM ( S pitzbare D ämpfungs m asse) for noise reduction
