Synagogue of the Chaimas Frenkelis factory (2008)

The synagogue of the Chaimas Frenkelis factory in Šiauliai , a large city in Lithuania , was built in 1914.

The historicist style synagogue replaced a wooden synagogue that the factory owner Chaimas Frenkelis (1857–1920) had built for his workers in 1907. The prayer room is located in the eastern part of the building and can be recognized by the arched windows.

From 1941 the synagogue building was used for other purposes.

Today it is planned to use the building for the city museum.
