content
The dog Dudley Puppy and his friend Kitty Katswell, a cat, ensure law and order in their hometown of Petropolis. For this purpose they enter the secret organization TUFF ( T otal U nerschrockene F ieslings- F Änger, Engl. T urbo U Direction cover F ighting F orce ) at, but another organization (DOOM = D iabolische O berfieslinge O sons M anieren, Engl. D iabolical O rder O f M ayhem ) tries to prevent that.
Characters
- Dudley Puppy is an adult dog who lived with his mother Peg at the beginning of the series. It carries DNA from all known dog breeds and therefore has all the capabilities of its fellow dogs. He is very brave, helpful but also silly, playful and not exactly the most intelligent.
- Kitty Katswell is a trained TUFF agent and a cat. She is very bossy and determined, masters all martial arts in the world and is responsible for her partner Dudley. She can be uptight, but sometimes she's at least as goofy as Dudley.
- Keswick is a brilliant, stuttering scientist. He belongs to an unidentified species. In the episode "Agents of Truth" it turns out that Keswick is an alien from the planet "Keswick" who fled to Petropolis because he was searched for in his homeland. He shows very bizarre symptoms in his development phase.
- Herbert Dumbrowski (everyone just called the boss ) is the chairman of the TUFF. He's a flea and tends not to really think things through.
- Peg Puppy is Dudley's mother and is very loving. At first she does not know anything about her son's activity, but she accepted it when she saw how well he handles it. However, it sometimes becomes a troublemaker z. B. she already had a date with Snaptrap.
- Eric is a handsome tomcat who is the water supplier for TUFF and Kitty's crush. Dudley predicted Kitty that he and she would get married. However, Dudley tried to warn her about something with Eric, but then lost his psychic powers. He also has an unattractive twin brother named Derek .
- Terrible Jimmy is a deranged elk and caretaker from TUFF who shows up regularly. The other TUFF agents avoid contact with him because they don't want his insanity to spread to them. His best and only friend is a mop.
Adversary
- Verminious Snaptrap is a rat and the archenemy of TUFF. He heads the DOOM organization . He is very simple-minded and rather harmless. But also crazy, which makes him a threat. Ironically, he has a cheese allergy.
- The chameleon is a diabolical villain and has a suit that can transform him into anything. He's the archenemy of Kitty, but claims his archenemy is the hot drink.
- Birdbrain is a blue-cheeked blue booby and an ingenious villain brain. He is always accompanied by his loyal assistant, the hummingbird Zippy . His plans always have something to do with the birds. He suffers from inferiority complexes because he cannot fly. In the course of the series he gets two workers named Owl and Bat whom he hates because of their stupidity.
- Quacky the duck is a child star who, however, develops into a villain over the course of the series. His assistants are supposed to teach children how to behave, but have become his villain accomplices. His beefy assistant, parts moose, is known .
- King carp is a fish that lives on the Petropolis dam. He believes everything is his and has been alone all his life, which is why he made up nothing but fantasy subjects. He hates Dudley for wanting to put King Carp on a sandwich. Since then, he has been waging some kind of bitter war against Dudley, whom he calls the Dog King for wearing a crown when they first met.
- RITA (stands for R obotic- I nterlektuelle T oaster- A pplication) is a toaster and was created by Keswick as a secretary at TUFF. It was actually good, but it received immeasurable megalomania because of its power. However, Dudley, Keswick and Kitty could push them into a river and thus short-circuit them. But she came back later.
- Jack Bunny was Dudley's predecessor at TUFF and came back to TUFF in the episode "My Name is Bunny". He wanted to woo his former partner Kitty to "STUFF", but Dudley became suspicious. When Kitty and Jack arrived at STUFF-HQ, everything turned out to be a trap for Jack and Snaptrap. However, Dudley and Keswick were able to save Kitty and defeat Jack and put him behind bars. Jack was released, however, and has since tried in vain to gain Kitty's trust. He is an allusion to James Bond, as his "opening sequence" is based on greetings from Moscow and he always uses the words: "My name is Rabbit, Jack Rabbit." welcomed.
-
DOOM is an organization run by Verminious Snaptrap. The following DOOM agents are known by name:
- Dr. Oliver "Oli" Dünnbrett is Snaptrap's right-hand man and smarter than him himself, but he is loyal to him. Often, when Snaptrap comes up with a crazy plan, Oli comes up with a better proposal for a plan.
- Francesco is a crocodile and fighter on DOOM. He himself is very voracious and has eaten Snaptraps hamsters, for example. In the episode "Agents of Truth" it turns out that Francesco is actually called Franziska because his mother wanted a daughter.
- Larry is an employee at DOOM and apparently just an employee so Snaptrap can throw him into the shark tank. Here it becomes clear that Snaptrap hates him. He was also a threat when he announced Snaptrap he opened together with Francesco and Oli an organization called "GLOOM" ( G enie L arrys O berschurken o teeth M anieren). In the episode "Agents of Truth" it turns out that Larry is only bullied by Snaptrap because he is the only one who has potential to be a villain in Snaptrap's eyes.
- There are also many unnamed agents.
- The stink bacillus is a stink beetle which, before Dudley's time as a TUFF agent, made Petropolis unsafe with its stench. But he was driven out by the residents of Petropolis. Since then he has tried to contaminate Petropolis with its stench. Dudley's nose is very sensitive to the villain's stench. Only with a cold could he render the villain harmless.
- Katty Katswell is Kitty's criminal twin sister who was taken to prison by her own sister. It differs only in a white stripe in her hair, which Kitty does not have. She is very greedy and often poses as her twin sister.
- The turbine is a criminal bee worker who tries to be better than the others. She is very irritable and always thinks up new identities that all end with -Biene . She is also the terbienator's little sister and the boss of FLOPP
- The Wiiiiiiiiiesel (actual spelling with 9 "i" s) is the most evil of all Petropolis villains and everyone's enemy. It usually appears very suddenly and as soon as it is there it disappears again. He is very vengeful, but easy to overpower.
