Lists on the subject

The TMM-1 ( T enkovska M ina M etalna) is an anti-tank mine from the former Yugoslavia , during the Yugoslav Wars was used. It is an exact replica of the German Tellermine 43 from the Second World War.

description

The TMM-1 has a round mine body made of sheet steel. The fuse holder is located in the middle of the upper part of the mine. The screwed-on, three-stage pressure cover is located above the fuse holder. On the side of the mine body, a metal handle is inserted in welded tabs. On the bottom of the mine and on the side there is a secondary ignition channel to accommodate a recovery fuse.

Function and detonator

The UTMM-1 detonator is made of steel and is used in conjunction with the L-6 detonator.

A firing pin is pressed into the detonator body by applying pressure of approx. 130 kilograms or more on the pressure plate. A shear pin is sheared off and the firing pin strikes the primer. This creates a jet of flame that initiates the active charge via the detonator.

The mine can also be provided with pressure relief or draft fuses on the two auxiliary ignition channels in order to prevent manual resumption.
