TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven
The TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven eV is a dance sport club in Greven . The association, which was founded on May 15, 1981 out of the former Fillers dance school, offers mass sports ( standard and Latin , dance circles and children's dance ), tournament dance couples and Latin formations .
Latin formations
A-team
The A-Team of TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven was founded in 1992 in the City Dance School in Greven and competed in league competitions for the first time in the regional league West Latin in the 1992/1993 season. Until the 2000/2001 season, the team danced mainly in the regional and upper league West Latin to changing musical themes. In the 1996/1997 season the team reached 2nd place in the Oberliga West Latin and thus qualified for participation in the promotion tournament to the Regionalliga West Latin, where it also took 2nd place and thus made it to the Regionalliga West. After a season in the Regionalliga West, the team rose again to the Oberliga West.
The topics of the A-team until the 1998/1999 season were:
- 1992/1993 and 1993/1994: "Spain"
- 1994/1995 and 1995/1996: "Tequila"
- 1996/1997 and 1997/1998: "Cecilia"
- 1998/1999: "Africa"
In the 1999/2000 season, the A-Team of TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven did not start. In the 2000/2001 season, the A-Team joined the TSK Schwarz Gold Oberhausen as FG Blau-Gold Greven-Oberhausen again in the regional league West Latin with the musical theme "Africa".
The A-Team danced the 2001/2002 season on the musical theme "The Power of Love" and the 2002/2003 season on the musical theme "Caribbean Soul" in the Oberliga West Latin. In 2003 the team took 1st place in the Oberliga West. In the subsequent promotion tournament, the team was able to achieve 1st place and thus promotion to the West Latin regional league.
In the regional league, the A-Team won 2nd place in the first season with the musical theme "Caribbean Soul Reloaded", but did not make it past the preliminary round in the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga. Also in the 2004/2005 season, with the new musical theme "Robbie Williams", the team reached 2nd place in the league and failed in the promotion tournament in the preliminary round.
In the 2005/2006 season, again with the theme "Robbie Williams", the team reached 1st place in the Regionalliga West. With the 1st place in the subsequent promotion tournament, the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga Latin succeeded. There the A-Team of the TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven danced in the 2006/2007 season on the subject of “Stars and Glamor”.
In the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 seasons "The Rhapsody" was the musical theme with which the team took 4th place in the first season and 2nd place in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2008/2009 season and thus promotion reached the 1st Bundesliga Latin. In the seasons 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 the A-Team danced to the musical theme "Boogie Wonderland", but could not keep the class in both seasons and so relegated first to the 2nd Latin Bundesliga and then to the Regional League West Latin .
After the original plan of the club to compete with a formation instead of the Regional League West in the Landesliga West in the 2011/2012 season, the Tanzsportverband Nordrhein-Westfalen e. V. was not approved, the club withdrew the formation completely from league operations.
B team
The TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven had in the seasons 1996/1997 and 1997/1998 in addition to the A-Team also a B-Team, which competed in the Landesliga West Latin. In both seasons the musical theme was "Tequila". The coaches of the B team were Gabi and Uwe Kempkes.
Since the 2006/2007 season, the club again had a B-team that competed in the regional West Latin league. The musical theme was “Robbie Williams” in 2006/2007 and 2007/2008, and “Stars & Glamor” in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010. Since the 2010/2011 season, no B-Team competed in league competitions.
