The TSV 1874 Kottern (also TSV Kottern-St. Mang ) is a sports club from the Kempten district of Kottern / Sankt Mang . The club was originally founded as a gymnastics club. Today the club has additional departments for basketball, ice hockey, soccer, handball, volleyball, chess, wrestling, athletics, jiu jitsu, karate and tennis.

Soccer

The club rose in 1953 to the 1st Amateur League South Bavaria , in which he stayed for six years. After relegation in 1959, he was immediately promoted again and another three seasons in the 1st amateur league followed. In the 2012/13 season , the club played in the fifth-rate Bayernliga , but rose at the end of the season as bottom of the table in the Landesliga Bayern Südwest . In 2015 he returned to the Bayern League.

ice Hockey

In 1951, the first ice hockey team was formed at TSV Kottern in Kempten and in 1965/66 reached the championship in the district league group IV. In 1976, the team won the Bavarian national league championship (natural ice). From 1978 the team traded under EA Kempten-Kottern , played from 1979 in the Regionalliga Süd, from 1981 in the 2nd League South. In the summer of 1983, the ice hockey division separated from TSV Kottern and became an independent club under the name EA Kempten . An amateur team was retained at TSV Kottern. After the end of game operations at the EAK , the ice hockey department was again at TSV Kottern from 2004 until it was dissolved in 2007.
