Tamil United Liberation Front

The Tamil United Liberation Front (Tamil: தமிழர் ஐக்கிய விடுதலை முன்னணி) is a political party in Sri Lanka that seeks autonomy for the Tamil-speaking areas of the country.

On May 4, 1972, several Tamil political groups formed the Tamil United Front (TUF). The Federal Party joined in 1976 and they changed the party name to Tamil United Liberation Front. Later she set herself the political goal of achieving state independence for the Tamils living in Sri Lanka under the name Tamil Eelam .
