Tapaderos

A tapadero is a ( leather ) hood on the front of a stirrup that is used in western and trail riding . A tapadero prevents the rider's foot from slipping through the stirrups. At the same time, it protects the rider from plants, moisture, wind and cold. In work riding, e.g. B. cattle work, a tapadero protects the rider's foot better from injuries than would be the case with riding shoes or boots .
