Tarocoid languages
The tarocoid languages ( Tarocoid for short ) form a sub-unit of the Platoid languages , a branch of the Benue-Congo languages , which in turn belong to the Niger-Congo .
The four tarocoid languages are spoken by around 300,000 people in northeast Nigeria , with the eponymous Tarok (Yergam) comprising the vast majority of speakers.
