Tautacism

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In rhetoric and linguistics, tautazism (Greek-Neo-Latin) is an accumulation of the same initial sounds in successive syllables or words. The term is mainly used when characterizing texts from a stylistic point of view, in order to designate an accumulation of identical or similar sounds or syllables that is perceived as faulty or unpleasant (e.g. in "lottery drawing time").
