California Technical Bulletin 117

The California Technical Bulletin 117 ( TB 117 ) is a California law that fire regulations contains. It came into force in 1975. In fact , the law applies not just in California but throughout the United States .

In 2013 there was a new version called Technical Bulletin 117-2013 . This relaxed the regulations for furniture in particular, so that flame retardants are often no longer necessary.
