Tecklenborg Publishing House

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tecklenborg Verlag ( Tecklenborg Verlag GmbH & Co. KG ) was founded by Hubert Tecklenborg and employs over 40 employees in Steinfurt . (A separate illustrated book has been dedicated to this location.)

The publisher is traditionally also active in the magazine sector. The magazine for nature photography NaturFoto is published by the publisher. With the change of crime writer Klaus Uhlenbrock from Principal-Verlag to Tecklenborg, the publisher also included fiction in its program.

The publisher has published many illustrated books with animal photographs. Some of these publications are based on the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition held annually by the Natural History Museum in London and the BBC. In addition, there are books on the complete flora and fauna of selected habitats, as well as works on landscape photography and travelogues.

The nature photographer Fritz Pölking was also relocated to Tecklenborg. In cooperation with the GDT (Society of German Animal Photographers), Tecklenborg Verlag awards the "Fritz Pölking Prize" and the "Fritz Pölking Young Talent Prize" for outstanding projects and portfolios every year.
