Tekeoğulları

The Tekeoğulları were an Anatolian Beylik .

The dynasty emerged from a sideline of the Hamidoğulları . From 1321 they ruled in Antalya. They had clashes with the Kingdom of Cyprus . Peter I was even able to conquer Antalya in 1361. It was not until 1373 that Antalya was recaptured by the Tekkeoğulları under Mübârizüddin Mehmed Bey. After the reconquest, the Yivli Minare Mosque was built in Antalya.

In 1391 the Beylik was conquered by Bayezid I. After this was defeated by Timur Lenk , Timur restored the Beylik. In 1423 the Beylik was finally conquered by the Ottomans.
