The telephone numbers in Greece are made up of the country code (+30), the leading digit (e.g. a 2 for the landline or a 6 for mobile phones), the area code and the individual number of the respective telephone connection.

This results in, for example, +30 21 xxxxxx for Athens , or +30 231 xxxxxx for Thessaloniki .

The country code can be omitted within Greece.
