Tempo di Seis

The Tempo di Seis is a way of accenting the eighth notes of a measure ( 68 time ).

The Tempo di Seis consists of two three 18 notes, with the notes on the first and fourth beat being emphasized. In the next measure, two 18 notes follow three times , with the notes on the second, fourth and sixth beat being emphasized. The Tempo di Seis is used, for example, by Leonard Bernstein in America from the musical West Side Story .
