Temptation Iceland ( English "Island of temptation") is a dating reality show of the TV channel RTL . In it, couples in love spend two weeks apart from each other in an exotic location. There they meet singles who are supposed to woo the men and women.
The first season aired from March 6 to April 14, 2019. The second season started on March 3, 2020 and lasted until May 19. The series is produced by the German production company Banijay Productions Germany . In the more than 24 international formats since 2001, the series has met with great enthusiasm and strong criticism.

In Temptation Island , the relationships of four couples are put to the test in an extreme situation: separated by men and women, they spend two weeks in “paradise”. They are tempted : The women who are awarded are surrounded by 12 (first season: 11) men in their accommodation, while 12 (first season: 11) women wait in the men's department.
The “paradisiacal” life of the two groups should be characterized by romantic “adventures” and dates in which the awarded get closer to the singles. At regular intervals, all those awarded get to see from the moderator in the video how their respective partner has spent their time.
The couples see each other again after two weeks. Now there are mostly emotional explanations and bitter accusations.
