The Yemen Defense Ministry and a military hospital in Sanaa were attacked in a terrorist attack in Sanaa on December 5, 2013 . At least 56 people died, including two development workers from the Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Video recordings show, among other things, how an assassin throws a hand grenade into a group of men, women and children. Al-Qaeda later apologized for attacking the hospital and offered blood money .
