Thambula temple

The Thambula Temple is a Buddhist temple in Bagan , Myanmar ; he is near the village of Minnanthu .

history

It was built in 1255 by Thambula, the first wife of King Uzana .

description

The temple has a square plan and a porch to the east. A central pillar supports the three-tiered roof and the mighty Shikhara .
The paintings inside the temple show scenes from the Jatakas and life descriptions of the 28 last personified Buddhas.
