The Muffs are an American musical group. The style of music is a mixture of pop and punk rock . The band has been around since the early 1990s.

history

The band, founded in 1991, had their breakthrough after the record deal with Warner in 1993 with the album The Muffs, their greatest success with the successor Blond and Blonder (1995). After the release of the debut album, there were several line-up changes. Band members are currently Ronnie Barnett and Roy McDonald. On October 2, 2019, Kim Shattock died after a 2-year illness of ALS. The distinctive female voice of singer Kim Shattuck was exceptional. The Muffs have been on a musical break since 2004, but have recently announced that the band has neither broken up nor will they be broken up. The album Hamburger, in itself a collection of B-sides and rarities, features a guest appearance by Courtney Love and a track penned by Paul Collins . The Muffs were still involved in the soundtrack of the film Clueless - What Else! with the Kim Wilde cover Kids in America.
