Fareed Zakaria explains in his book that a post-American world is emerging in which the United States of America will have less influence, but without becoming irrelevant. The background to this development is that the rest of the world is gaining economic, diplomatic and social importance. He calls this phenomenon the “Rise of the Rest”.
In the remaining chapters of the book he explains new problems and questions of the time and the possibilities of how one could react to them or which developments might be necessary to be able to react to them adequately.
