The Protector (AKA: Hakan: Muhafiz ) is a Turkish Fantasy - Mystery -Superhelden series based on the fantasy novel ve karakalem Bir Delikanlinin Tuhaf Hikayesi the author Nilüfer Ipek Gökdel based. The series is Netflix's first Turkish series . It was first published on December 14, 2018.

After the Sultan Fatih Mehmed conquered Istanbul , he established the existence of the seven immortals , who are creatures of unknown origin in human form who are to blame for all the evils of mankind and who try to exterminate them with epidemics, natural disasters and famine. In a night vision, the Sultan saw how he could fight these seven immortals and appointed the Protector to do so . Armed with a magical shirt that makes you invulnerable, a ring that lets you recognize the immortals , and a dagger with which you can kill them, he began to fight the immortals . The task was passed down secretly from generation to generation to the next Protector .
Hakan, the adopted son of a Turkish antique dealer who has not been very successful in his life, is suddenly thrown into this role when he learns from one day to the next that his parents did not die in an accident and that his adoptive father was actually a member of a secret order called The Faithful is. On his deathbed, the adoptive father reveals to him that Hakan is the last living descendant of the Protector and that he has to take up the fight against the last immortal , initially only using the magic shirt. He is guided into his role as protector by the faithful , with the faithful and university assistant, Zeynep, at his side from then on, teaching and supporting him in martial arts .
