The Times Atlas of the World

The Times Atlas of the World is the title of a world atlas that appeared from 1955 to 1959 in five parts. On the cartographic basis of this atlas, a world atlas was published in one volume in 1967 under the same title. For the 10th edition in 1999, the maps were completely redesigned digitally and in 2018 the 15th edition appeared under the title The Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World . Edited versions of this atlas have been published in French, Dutch and, since 1971, also in German (under the title Knaurs Großer Weltatlas ). The Times Atlas of the World is one of the most successful with more than 200,000 place names one of the largest printed atlases and sold over a million copies.
