Thermobonding

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thermobonding is a process of thermal bonding of nonwovens . This increases the bond strength considerably and lighter nonwovens can be constructed. The strength of the thermally bonded nonwovens depends on the type of polymer and the parameters of fiber production, as well as on the thermal bonding conditions. This enables completely new areas of application for nonwovens such as medicine , hygiene , filters , noise protection, etc.
