William Faulkner, 1954

Thesis 13 is a short story collection by the American writer William Faulkner , which was first published in 1931.

Thesis 13 mainly collected short stories that had appeared in various literary magazines between 1930 and 1931. Faulkner had his first commercial success with Die Freistatt in 1931 , which meant that the publisher saw economic opportunities in now also publishing his short epics in book form.

Faulkner dedicated the anthology to his daughter Alabama, who was born on January 11, 1931 and died nine days after birth. Another dedicatee was his wife Estelle.
