Thomas Tallis School , named after the English Renaissance composer Thomas Tallis , is a wide- ranging comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 19 in Kidbrooke in the Royal Borough of Greenwich . The school sees itself as an educational institution that is particularly focused on the arts. She participates in the Leading Edge Partnership program of the UK Department for Children, School and Family.
The school was built in 1971 for 850 students at the time. In June 2011 she had almost 2000 students. It is located on a former Royal Air Force site . It was a blue plaque (a blue sticker) attached to one of the building connecting corridors of the school, to indicate this fact. This is also where the pictures for the English books Green Line and Line published by Klett-Verlag were taken.
