Thorsten Karge (born October 20, 1964 in Berlin ) is a German politician and management consultant .
Life
Thorsten Karge studied industrial engineering in Berlin. After completing his studies in 1991, Karge worked as a management consultant. Karge has been the managing director of Pari-Personal GmbH since 1994 .
In addition to his professional activity, Karge was active in local politics, joined the SPD in 1985 and was a member of his party. a. Department head of the Märkisches Viertel (Reinickendorf) department and district councilor. On September 18, 2011, Karge was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 . He was the research policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group and a member of the committees for internal affairs, the protection of the constitution and the economy. In 2016 he left the House of Representatives.
On March 21, 2017, the constituency conference of the SPD Reinickendorf elected him as the SPD's direct candidate for Bundestag constituency 77 (Berlin-Reinickendorf).
