Three-shot sensor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A three-shot sensor in a digital camera records the three basic colors of an image, red, green and blue, one after the other using appropriate filters and is therefore only suitable for stationary objects.

After a recording has been made through each filter, the raw data is converted into the finished image. This technology avoids the error-prone demosaicing (interpolation) required with most one-shot sensors , which enables higher color accuracy.

With digital studio and professional SLR cameras , the light is broken down into the three basic colors and directed to three different sensors. This means that such cameras are also suitable for moving objects.
