Thunder Run in Kentucky Kingdom ( Louisville , Kentucky , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster manufactured by Dinn Corporation , which opened in August 1990. In 2009 the track, as well as the entire park, was closed. The new owner reopened the park in May 2014 and with it the railway.

The 869 m long track, originally designed for a roller coaster for LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park (then Americana Park ) in Ohio , reaches a height of 27 m. The trains, which can reach a maximum speed of 85 km / h, have six cars with space for four people each (two rows of two people).

The runway was renovated for $ 800,000 (approx. 759,500 euros) when it was closed for winter in 2016/17. The tall main curve and the braking area were important parts of the repair. The railway also received new trains from Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters . The renovation began in mid-January 2017 and took seven to eight weeks to complete.
