An animal feed scandal is a scandal discussed in the press about the contamination or contamination of animal feed with harmful or toxic substances .

In 2007 there was an animal feed scandal in which melamine-contaminated wheat gluten of Chinese origin was used in animal feed for dogs and cats, which was sold in the USA and Canada . In 2013, animal feed in Germany was contaminated with aflatoxin due to the processing of moldy maize . In 2015, toxic pesticides were found in organic feed sold across Europe.
