Timidity ++ is a free software synthesizer that can play MIDI files and save them to a hard drive in various WAV audio formats.
history
The "Timidity ++" project is based on the "Timidity" program, which was published in version 0.2i in 1995 by the Finn Tuukka Toivonen. Due to the lack of further development, the project was continued under the current name "Timidity ++" by Masanao Izumo.
