Location of the city of Timotes in Venezuela

Timotes is a provincial city in Venezuela in the state of Mérida .

It is located at about 2700 m altitude in the Andes and is the capital of the district ( Municipio ) Miranda. The zip code is 5125.

The main industry is the cultivation and trade in crops and vegetables. The center of the community, as in almost every Venezuelan community, is Plaza Bolivar . The Basilica of St. Lucia is here .
