Top R&B / Hip-Hop albums
The Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums is a ranking list for R&B and hip-hop albums published by Billboard Magazine since 1965 , based on sales in the United States and calculated by Nielsen SoundScan . The Hot R&B LPs were first raised on January 30, 1965 and were also performed under the name Top Black Albums ; from 1969 to 1978 they ran as soul charts . It was finally renamed Top R & B / Hip-Hop in 1999.
The US Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums combine besides R&B and Hip-Hop a variable range of related genres to which u. a. Soul , gospel and, more recently, New Jack swing and house count.
