The Trappistinnenabtei Butende is since 1964 a monastery of Trappist nuns in Uganda in Africa .
history
In 1964, nuns from the Dutch Trappist Abbey of Koningsoord founded the Our Lady of the Praise monastery north of Kadugala in Butende ( Masaka district ), which became an abbey in 1971 .
