Separability formula

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The separability formula is a jurisprudential teaching formula in revision law . It states that a partial contestation of a judgment issued is possible if the contested part is so independent that a separate legal and factual review is possible. The effective partial challenge has the consequence that the uncontested part of the judgment becomes partially final.

An important example is the appeal or revision that is limited to the sentence , the so-called appeal or revision of the sentence.
