Trier inventory on chronic stress
The Trier inventory on chronic stress ( TICS ) is a psychological self-assessment procedure for recording various areas of chronic stressors . The psychological questionnaire was developed in 2004 by Schulz, Schlotz and Becker. The frequency of various stress experiences in the last three months is asked on a five-point rating scale. The processing time is estimated at 10 to 15 minutes and the evaluation time at 5 to 10 minutes, with a computerized version being available. The questionnaire relates to an interaction- related stress concept . The questionnaire comprises 57 questions, which are summarized in the following 9 scales:
- Work overload
- Social overload
- Pressure to succeed
- Dissatisfaction with work
- Overwork at work
- Lack of social recognition
- Social tensions
- Social isolation
- Chronic concern.
The values of the test subjects can be compared with a norm sample consisting of 604 people between the ages of 16 and 70 years. On the basis of the 57 questions in this questionnaire, a shorter scale called the Chronic Stress Screening Scale (SSCS) was developed, which only consists of 12 questions.
