Trieste Trasporti SpA (TT) is a public limited company that operates regular services in the former Italian province of Trieste . 60 percent of the shares belong to the public sector, 40 percent to the private Arriva . It operates a tram line, bus lines and two shipping lines with 5600 daily trips and 70 million passengers a year.

history

In 1977, the ACEGAT transport companies, the Società dei Trasporti di Muggia and the Autolinee Carsiche merged to form the Azienda Consorziale Trasporti . In 2001, as part of the privatization of public transport, what is now a public limited company was founded.

Mode of Transport

Line 2 is the meter-gauge railway Trieste – Opicina , which has a tram-like operation. The standard-gauge tram service in Trieste, however, was stopped in 1970.

Street

In 2013, 273 buses painted white and blue were used. The bus fleet was very modern in 2015, the average age of the vehicles was four years.

water

The Trieste - Muggia line operates all year round, the Trieste - Barcola - Grignano - Sistiana line only in summer. In 2013, 68,912 passengers were carried.
